Telangana: The Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development said that the blueprint for the development of Sircilla will be set in motion as part of the State government’s ambitious plan to reinvent the textile town. There was a need for a strategic framework for the town’s future. Keeping an eye on future needs of the town, the administration is drawing a plan that includes development of infrastructure. The upcoming national highway and the railway line will add more to the town’s development, referring to widening of Karimnagar and Kamareddy roads with an outlay of Rs 87 crore. The authorities to ensure greenery around upcoming dumping yard and graveyard. Further he instructed them to focus on cleanliness of the streets.
The Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development also said that the banks of Manair River will also be beautified. Sircilla will be transformed into a model town in next two years.
