Mumbai: Japanese fashion retailer revealed it will open a global flagship store in Manila, the Philippines. Set to open this coming autumn/winter season, the store, spanning 4100 square meters, will be the largest of Uniqlo’s 50 shops in the country. It will also be the largest in Southeast Asia. The new store opening highlights “the importance of the Philippines in Uniqlo’s growth plans worldwide. Currently, Uniqlo has 14 global flagship stores worldwide. In the statement, the company said it only aims to open these stores in “key locations in cities of global prominence”, such as New York’s fifth avenue, London’s Oxford Street, Paris’ opera district and Orchard Road in Singapore.
