USA: HanesBrands has announced that its Cleveland Distribution Centre in Kings Mountain, North Carolina has been awarded for achieving 2 million employee hours without injury in 2016. Cherie Berry, Labor Commissioner, North Carolina visited the distribution centre to present the certificate to Joel Long, Director of Distribution for HanesBrands. The NCDOL Million-Hour Safety Awards are given to facilities that accumulate 1 million or more employee hours with no cases of injury or illness that involve days away from work. The Cleveland Distribution Centre, which ships intimate apparel orders for Bali, Playtex and Maidenform, from department-store and mid-tier retailers, is known for safe operation since long.
