Mumbai: The 7th edition of three-day Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair concluded in China.
A special Indian Pavilion was set up at the event that took place at Yiwu International Expo Centre. Mr. Anil Kumar Rai, the Consul General of India in Shanghai inaugurated the pavilion that comprised of 49 member exporters and 3 master craftsmen.

Fashion Jewellery & accessories, home furnishing, natural fibres, home décor, etc. was displayed at the event by the Indian exhibitors.
Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair 2018 had welcomed around 1,000 companies from more than 80 countries such as India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Australia, Russia, Poland, Pakistan, Germany and others.
The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), an apex body for promotion and export of handicrafts products from India to the world markets, decided to take part in the event in view of versatility of the YIWU market, informed Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director EPCH.
Live demonstration on shawl embroidery was also held at the fair to promote India’s talented craftsmen.
To promote handicrafts and home categories trade and strengthen trade between the countries, a MoU was also inked by EPCH and China. Minutes of the deal were however not revealed.
