Mumbai: Amazon India has inaugurated its fifth Fulfilment Centre (FC) in Telangana and the largest in the country. The newly inaugurated centre is spread over an area of over 400,000 square feet with close to 2.10 million cubic feet storage space. However, the investment that has gone into setting up this centre has not been revealed by the company.

The e-commerce giant now has a total storage capacity of around 3.3 million cubic feet in the state. The company feels that the addition of one more FC in Telangana will help it serve customers better. Amazon has noted more than 120 per cent growth in demand for immediate delivery in the state this year as compared to last year. Telangana currently has more than 10,000 sellers.

The retailer is working extensively to increase its presence in India. The opening of the fulfilment centre is in line with the company’s objective of increasing its infrastructural impression in the country.
